This magnificent medieval tournament is returning to Cardiff Castle over a weekend in August, providing you with the opportunity to immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of medieval life.
Armoured knights will be armed and ready to battle until there’s just one man standing, and there’ll be interesting demonstrations of falconry for you to watch and enjoy.
Tickets cost just £6 for adults and £4 for children, or if you’re a castle key holder then you can make the most of the discounted prices available. Be sure not to miss out on the Grand Medieval Mêlée this August, it’ll be a truly educational day packed full of fun and medieval mayhem.
If you’re a culture vulture, you’ll love learning all about the castle’s animal wall. It’s one of the many cherished, historic features of the Welsh capital and for £7.50 you can hear all about it.
The event starts at 6pm so if you work in the city centre then you can catch this fascinating talk after you finish up for the day. Find out how the animal wall was designed and painted, as well as how it has moved over the years, and other riveting facts.
This insightful lecture will not disappoint. Book your tickets sooner rather than later to avoid missing out.
If you’ve ever watched Grease, you’ve probably had a desire to attend a screening at an open air cinema ever since, right? Well, this September, The Luna Cinema is returning to Cardiff Castle, after last year’s successful debut, to present cinema under the stars.
There will be three film screenings so you can choose from Gladiator, Dirty Dancing and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Tickets cost £13.50 for adults and if you’d like to enhance your experience then you can purchase a Luna blanket for a tenner and get cosy as you watch your favourite film in the magical setting of Cardiff Castle.
